Oceanside

It's been awhile! Life is finally starting to slow down a little bit long enough for me to catch up.  I finished my last semester of pre-reqs and applied once again to the program.  Now I just have to wait.  I am still working the two jobs and trying to cook more now that I have a little more time.  Mitch just got a job at Red Rock school and starts training this week.  It's an on-call job so he could be doing grave yards some nights (dislike). He still has the detailing business to do on the side.  We have moved (again) since last time I posted. We are over on the golf course by where I work. We definately down-sized, and it's a little ways from town, but it's a nice place.  We have gone on a few trips in the last 4 months that I would like to blog about, starting with our annual trip to California.  This year we stayed at the worldmark in Oceanside.  It wasn't our favorite place, but we still had a good time like always.  In September we had a family yard sale to earn money for us all to go to Disneyland.  We ended up making over $600! I couldn't believe it! We will probably make it a tradition to help pay for food and whatever else it covers on our cali trips.  We also cashed out the huge bottle of coins us kids have been filling up for YEARS-seriously like 20 years.  My parents would tell us when it got full we could go to disneyland. Well, it never did get full, but we went anyways! It was Crew's first time.

Happiest place on earth! Little did he know there were no excavator rides.

So happy to be on the Little Mermaid ride :)

I love Crew in this picture.(Ended up being his favorite ride after we drug him on!) I don't remember any loud or scary noises being the terrifying part of this ride though.

Leaving Disneyland.  Mitch & I could have stayed for hours longer... but the kids wanted to leave.

The best beach day

This is the only picture I got of just Mitch & I... a greasy Sunday afternoon picture.

We took our beach cruisers down.  They ended up being great for riding down to the beach from the hotel.

We also went to the swap meet (which was the highlight of Crew's trip... everyday he work up and asked if we were going to the swap meet.), ate at Anthony's in San Diego, swam and played soccer and tennis. (Side note: while on our Sunday walk to the beach, Mitch and I saw Rick and Big Hoss off of the t.v. show Pawn Stars drive by in a convertible. We were pretty excited about that :) ha
Also, not too long after getting in the truck to head down, we realized the a/c was not working. We stopped in Vegas to get it looked at and it was going to cost like $1500 to fix it. Since we didn't make that much money from the yard sale, we stuck it out. The whole way there..... and the whole way home. Needless to say, we were stinky!
