The Holidays

OCTOBER

We went to a Halloween party, I was of course a taxi driver and Mitch was a police officer. Aren't we so creative?

NOVEMBER
The weekend before Thanksgiving we made a spontaneous trip up to Snowbird.  Mitch's grandparents have a time share up there that wasn't being used for the whole week.  We were a little tight on money so we kept going back and forth whether or not we should go.  I had two tests that I needed to study for and was just a little stressed out.  I finally just held my breath and packed my suitcase.  We left late Friday night and went as far as Salt Lake to stay the night at the condo. It was snowing pretty bad, at some spots we were going 30 mph on the freeway.  Since we couldn't check in til Saturday afternoon, we shopped at Gateway, test drove our dream car (seen below), and went grocery shopping for our weekend. I don't think I have ever been more lazy! We seriously watched movies, sat in the hot tub and sauna, ate, and slept for 2 days straight! I of course studied while Mitch played xbox, and we did go workout one morning.  It was so nice to cuddle up by the fireplace and wake up to the snowy mountain. That picture above was taken on the balcony. Sadly, we didn't go snowboarding. We hauled our snowboards up and everything! But honestly, we were so lazy that snowboarding just seemed like to much work. Ha. (and we didn't want to pay $70 a ticket)

WANT IT!

Mitch sold the jeep and bought this truck. Sometimes I think he loves it more than he loves me. ;)
And yes, we like white vehicles.

DECEMBER
Every year Mitch's family goes to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert in Salt Lake.  The lights at Temple Square were so pretty as always. We did a lot of Christmas shopping.  In fact, I think those are the only two things we did that trip!

For Christmas Eve lunch my family went to Olive Garden. What an experience.  We were there for 2 hours! With two year old twins.... it didn't go over too well. But we made it!
Mitch & I headed up to the cabin right after to be with his family.  We ate a yummy dinner, played the game 'telestrations', and ended the night with some lovely mustache pictures.

We took some nice ones too, Christmas morning.

I can't believe I didn't get one picture of us opening presents! Once AGAIN! I got an iPhone, purse, jacket, massage, screen for my car, and much more little things.  My mom gave Riley & I concert tickets to see Blake Shelton & Dia Frampton in March.  And Mitch's parents gave us a Vegas getaway with concert tickets to see Brad Paisley with The Band Perry, & Scotty McCreery and one night stay at Mandalay Bay! (which is next week) We were definately spoiled! Mitch got a sound system for his truck and I gave him blue contacts. (He asked for them) Oh and we didn't take our tree down till after new years because I hadn't gotten a picture of us with it yet. So here it is...  looks the same as last years huh?
We are so thankful for our families and all they do for us, we couldn't do it without them! We are so blessed with our jobs, education, the church, healthy bodies, and a temple marriage.  I'm always thinking my life is so hard, but really? It's not all that bad! Hopefully this year will be better than last. I feel like the first few years of marriage and struggling to get our lives put together are going to be the most memorable. So here's to keeping up with blogging and recording our happenings.
