Mitch and I celebrated our 1st year of marriage on July 16th! We had plans to go to Vegas for the weekend but it was getting to be too expensive. SO, we decided since we haven't been camping since we have been married or even slept in a tent together, we would go camp at Sand Hollow - with friends!!! We borrowed a good The McArthurs next door neighbors boat and headed out Friday afternoon. We got a couple hours of boating in before we were getting hungry so we headed back to our campground and prepared dinner. We hung out around the campfire most of the night and made peach cobbler and ate it with almost-melted ice cream. YUM! We hit the tents about midnight, exhausted. Saturday morning we woke up and Ben & Kelsey were preparing breakfast burritos. I think it took about an hour and a half
at least until every piece of egg, onion, pepper, sausage, and bacon were cooked. But it was really good! In the mean time, the guys were trying to get the boat to start. After a couple hours they decided it needed a new starter. So off to hurricane they went. The three of us girls waited, and waited. We cleaned up breakfast, rolled up sleeping bags, took down tents, and sat on the back of the boat. A couple hours later they came back with a new starter, they installed it and we were back on the lake. (So much for being out early on the glassy lake:) We had a good time and nobody got hurt, which always scares me. That night Mitch & I ate some of our wedding cake. Surprisingly, it was still good! I'm just not sure why I chose lemon cake for the top? Oh well. Here are the few pics I took of the weekend:

This was really the first time we had all hung out together. So Reed kept calling Benetton, Bennion. We tried many times to correct him but he kept getting it wrong! So we decided that would be his nickname.
