"Only Grandmas Wear Gold"

So this morning Mitch comes to visit me at work and tells me he doesn't like the necklace I am wearing. He first says because it is gold and only grandmas wear gold and then he says "well maybe just not with that jacket." Less than an hour later an "old" lady comes in and says "I love your necklace!" I laughed inside. Then tonight during class we got into groups and two more girls told me they liked it. I told them that my husband had just told me today that he didn't like it. They replied, "He doesn't know what he's talking about. Besides, us girls dress for each other, not guys. Right?" I don't know why I am posting this but I just find it kind of funny. Especially because I have had this necklace for about 3 years now, I have worn it maybe 3 times, and it was a hand-me-down!!
