In the last three 4th of July's, this is the first one that Mitch and I have spent together-the last two I ditched him for my family :). This year we stayed in the Newport Villas with Mitch's family.
Fashion Island
Laguna Beach
We waited for almost 2 hours to eat at Javier's - it was pretty good mexican food though.
We rented sea doo's and took them out on the ocean. I wished I had a waterproof camera. We saw a pack of 20-30 dolphins and they swam along side of us! After riding for awhile we saw something else jumping out of the water. We got closer and saw that it was a sea lion. We turned off the sea doo's and watched it show off and clap for us. We also saw a ton of yachts in the harbor. Oh how I wish I could own one!
We went to Newport Beach on Saturday and Huntington on Monday (the 4th). It was like night and day. I didn't get a picture on Monday but if this was it, you probably wouldn't be able to see the ocean! There were SO many people.
We walked a few miles to get to and from the beach to see the fireworks that were shot off the Huntington Pier -But it was well worth it. It was something I have always wanted to do. Oh and Mitch carried me out all the way out to the middle of the beach and back so I wouldn't get sand in my new shoes. :)
All in all it was a good trip. I'm just not sure I would do it on the 4th again!
